Driving Safety
Safe driving is a priority so make sure that you follow these tips if you need to make phone calls whilst driving.
-
Keep your phone on Voicemail when driving.
-
If you really must make or receive calls, always use a hands-free kit.
-
Make sure you inform the person you are speaking to that you are driving so they understand that you need to concentrate.
-
If possible tell the person that you will call back when you have parked safely.
-
Avoid long, complex or emotional conversations.
-
If you have a speed dial function on your phone, use this to enter
frequently-called numbers. One touch dialing is much safer than dialing
manually.
-
Do not take notes or look up phone numbers while driving.
-
Don’t accept or make calls if traffic and weather conditions would make it unsafe to do so.
